In den letzten Jahren wurde ein rasantes Wachstum mobiler Ticketverkäufe verzeichnet. Auch ticketscript verzeichnet einen Ansteig von Mobile Tickets um 194% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Mit der steigenden Nutzung von papierlosen Tickets steigt auch die Nachfrage nach innovativen Speicherlösungen, wie Apple's Passbook. Passbook ermöglicht seinen Nutzern Tickets, Gutscheine und Kundenkarten über Websites, Apps & E-Mails von teilnehmenden Unternehmen auf elektronischen Weg zu erhalten und zu Passbook hinzuzufügen.
