ThyssenKrupp Steel und JFE verlängern Kooperationsvertrag

Die ThyssenKrupp Steel AG und die JFE Steel Corporation, Japans zweitgrößter Stahlproduzent, werden ihren 2002 erstmals unterzeichneten Kooperationsvertrag über die gemeinsame Entwicklung von Flachstahlprodukten für die Automobilindustrie um weitere fünf Jahre verlängern. Gleichzeitig hat die JFE Steel Corporation eingewilligt, ThyssenKrupp Steel eine Lizenz zur Nutzung der JAZ-Technologie zu erteilen. JAZ ist die Abkürzung für JFE Advanced Zinc und bezeichnet umweltfreundliches, galvanisiertes Stahlband mit erstklassigen Umformeigenschaften. ThyssenKrupp Steel und JFE Steel werden für das verzinkte Stahlband Liefernetzwerke in Europa und Japan aufbauen und wollen JAZ als globalen Standard etablieren.
