Project launch for MEKO A-200 frigates: TKMS and BAAINBw sign preliminary agreement

The preliminary agreement between TKMS and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) enables the start of central preparatory measures.
The start of preparatory measures is scheduled for February 2026.
The preliminary agreement enables on-time delivery by 2029, provided the actual construction contract is concluded in a timely manner.


TKMS and the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) today signed a preliminary agreement for the MEKO A-200 DEU project. The preliminary agreement serves to enable delivery of the first ship by the end of 2029 and to initiate key preparatory measures. The
