Texas Instruments hat den ersten LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) Serializer vorgestellt, der sich direkt mit 1,8V Prozessoren verbinden lässt. Basierend auf der FlatLinkTM Technologie von TI, macht der SN75LVDS83B in Verbindung mit 1,8V und 2,5V Logik-Schnittstellen einen teuren Pegelumsetzer überflüssig. Dadurch spart er Kosten und reduziert den Platzbedarf um bis zu 83 Prozent in einem BGA-Gehäuse und bis zu 39 Prozent in TSSOP-Gehäusen. Der SN75LVDS83B eignet sich für alle Anwendungen, die eine LVDS-Verknüpfung von Prozessor zu LCD-Modul benötigen, wie Netbooks, Smartphones und digitale Bilderrahmen.
