Prof. Dr. Drs. h. c. Helmut Schwarz, Professor am TU-Institut für Chemie und Präsident der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung, wurde die Schrödinger-Medaille 2015 der World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) zuerkannt. Diese Ehrung wird jährlich weltweit an einen theoretischen oder auf Computermodellierung spezialisierten Chemiker verliehen. Mit Helmut Schwarz ehrt die WATOC einen international führenden Forscher auf dem Gebiet der Molekularchemie.
