Thomas Merki, in der Geschäftsleitung von Tech Data (Schweiz) GmbH für den IT Bereich verantwortlich, ist zusätzlich zum IT Leiter der Ländergesellschaft Tech Data Deutschland ernannt worden. Der 1960 in der Schweiz geborene IT Spezialist war maßgeblich für die Realisierung der im Konzernmassstab führenden E-Businesse Plattform bei Tech Data Schweiz verantwortlich. Mit der schnellen Einführung einer breiten Palette von E-Business Tools war es der Schweizer Konzerntochter gelungen, den über E-Business generierten Orderlines innerhalb von zwei Jahren von unter zwei auf über 40 Prozent anzuheben.
