Seit dem 1. Januar 2013 ist Dr. Torsten Köhne, Vorstand Erzeugung und Finanzen der swb AG, zugleich Vorstandsvorsitzender der swb AG. Das hatte der Aufsichtsrat der swb AG bereits im Juni 2012 beschlossen. Gemeinsam mit den Vorstandskollegen Uwe Schramm, Vorstand Personal und IT und kommissarischer Vorstand Vertrieb, sowie Timo Poppe, Vorstand Netze, leitet er weiterhin die Geschicke der swb AG. In der Rolle des Vorstandsvorsitzenden übernimmt er künftig darüber hinaus eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Positionierung des Unternehmens gegenüber der Öffentlichkeit und der Politik im Land Bremen.
