Sun Microsystems stellt heute die neueste Version seines Betriebssystems Solaris zur Verfügung. Solaris 10 10/08 enthält zahlreiche Verbesserungen und Erweiterungen, von denen viele innerhalb der OpenSolaris Community entwickelt wurden. Sämtliche Neuerungen wurden darüber hinaus zuerst in der OpenSolaris Community getestet, bevor sie in Solaris 10 10/08 integriert wurden.
