In den europäischen Nachbarländern boomt das digitale Fernsehen. So auch in Frankreich, wo derzeit in mehreren Etappen das digitale Antennenfernsehen (TNT) eingeführt wird. Der in Europa sehr erfolgreich agierende Hersteller STRONG startete im Herbst letzten Jahres von seiner deutschen Niederlassung aus in diesen interessanten Markt. Die STRONG Deutschland GmbH mit Sitz an der französischen Grenze in Trier konnte auf Anhieb alle relevanten Vertriebsschienen in Frankreich erschließen. STRONG-Digitalreceiver sind dort inzwischen über die Handelsketten Carrefour (europaweit die Nummer eins, weltweit nach Walmart die Nummer zwei), Boulanger oder Darty erhältlich.
