Juli 2011 organisiert das Stahlinstitut VDEh die Fachkonferenz "4th International Conference on Modelling and Simulation of Metallurgical Processes in Steelmaking (STEELSIM 2011)". Der VDEh zeigt mit dieser Fachkonferenz die wachsende Bedeutung der Simulationstechnik in der Stahlindustrie.
