Die Zukunft ist drahtlos, zumindest wenn man die Aussteller der CeBIT befragt. 28 Prozent sehen in den kabellosen Netzwerken per WLAN und Bluetooth den wichtigsten Trend auf der CeBIT 2004. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die diesjährige Umfrage von Mummert Consulting unter 50 Top-Ausstellern der CeBIT. Die Zahl der Nutzer drahtloser Internetzugänge soll sich in 2004 weltweit verdreifachen. Die Verschmelzung von IT und Unterhaltungselektronik ist mit 26 Prozent der zweite große Trend der CeBIT 2004. Auf Platz drei liegt UMTS mit 24 Prozent und ist damit erneut eines der Top-Themen der Messe.
