Berlin-based SOLON AG für Solartechnik has signed a multi-year purchase agreement with the solar cell manufacturer Suniva, Inc. based in Atlanta / USA. The contract extends through 2012, during which time Suniva will deliver more than $500 million worth of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells to SOLON. Delivery of the solar cells is scheduled to commence in early 2009. This step enables SOLON AG to further diversify its supplier base.
