Wenn am Montag die Weltklimakonferenz in Bonn beginnt, werden die Delegierten mit Strom aus der Solaranlage des World Conference Centers versorgt. Bereits auf der Anreise können die Teilnehmer über Deutschlands längste Solarbrücke fahren. Zur „Brücke ins neue Energiezeitalter“ wurde die Bonner Kennedybrücke durch die Installation von 392 Solarstrommodulen über dem Rhein. Die Module für beide Anlagen stammen vom Bonner Solarhersteller SolarWorld.
