Studie über Application Server: BEA, JBoss und IBM gut fürs "Klassische", SAP gut für .Net

Die Application Server von JBoss, BEA und IBM eignen sich besonders gut für die "klassischen" und häufig genötigten Connectivity-Bereiche wie DB, JMS und Webservice, während SAP NetWeaver vor allem bei der .Net-Connectivity im Vorteil ist. Dies geht aus der aktuellen Pentasys-Studie "J2EE Application Server im Vergleich" hervor, die die Software-Initiative Deutschland (SID) auf der Computermesse "Systems" vorgestellt. Nach Einschätzung der SID fällt Application Servern eine Schlüsselrolle zu, um Bestandsanwendungen in die moderne Internetwelt zu überführen.
