SNP AG again with record EBIT
- EBIT margin reaches 23% high
- Turnover and profit boost expected in 2010
SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner AG (SNP) publishes its preliminary figures of the financial year 2009 (as of 31 December) today. According to these figures, the company again exceeded its operating performance of the previous year. Although the €20.2 million turnover did not quite meet the €20.7 million result of the financial year 2008, the EBIT of € 4.7 million surpassed previous year's result by 6.8% (2008: €4.4 million). The EBIT margin reached 23.4% as compared with 21.3% in the previous year. In the fourth quarter of 2009, a turnover of €5.4 million (p.y. €5.4 million) and an EBIT of €1.5 million (p. y. €1.5 million) were achieved.
"We are very satisfied with the performance of the previous financial year", Petra Neureither, CFO of SNP AG, stated. "The aggravated macroeconomic situation has caused a slight drop in turnover. All the more we are pleased that we managed to improve the operating income not only in relative, but also in absolute terms thanks to costsaving measures and increased efficiency."
In this context, it must be considered that the development expenses in the segment Lizenzen/Wartung (Licences/Maintenance) division with regard to the SNP T-Bone product, introduced in the fourth quarter, were entered in the books entirely as an expenditure item in the second half of 2009.
First turnover and profit contributions resulting from the sale and application of the SNP TBone software automatically supporting the SAP transformations and, thus, making them faster, more reliable and more efficient are anticipated for the financial year 2010.
Thanks to the brighter economic prospects as compared with 2009 as well as due to the clearly improved backlog of orders, the corporate management assumes a turnover growth in the lower double digits. On 31 December 2009, the backlog of orders amounted to €7.5 million (quarter of the year €4.7 million). The target regarding profitability is to keep the margin at the level achieved or to increase the absolute result proportionally to the turnover.
