Die SMT Scharf AG (WKN 575198, ISIN DE0005751986), Technologie- und Weltmarktführer bei entgleisungssicheren Bahnsystemen für den Bergbau, hat für rund 2,0 Mio. € 100% der Anteile an zwei britischen Bergbauzulieferern von der Billington Holdings plc (ISIN GB0000332667) erworben. Entsprechende Verträge wurden heute unterzeichnet. Dosco Overseas Engineering Ltd. entwickelt und produziert Maschinen zum Streckenvortrieb unter Tage. Die zweite von SMT Scharf übernommene Gesellschaft, Hollybank Engineering Co. Ltd., stellt Ausrüstung her, mit der Strecken unter Tage ausgebaut und gesichert werden. Beide Unternehmen erwirtschafteten 2009 zusammen rund 14 Mio. € Umsatz und ein leicht negatives Ergebnis.
