Die neue DIN EN 50518 hat weitreichende Konsequenzen für den Betrieb, möglicherweise sogar für die Existenz von Leitstellen. Teil 1 und 2 der neuen Norm sind für Deutschland mittlerweile gültig, Teil 3 wird in wenigen Wochen ebenfalls verabschiedet vorliegen. Die bestehenden VdS-Zertifizierungen von NSL wird es in der vorhandenen Form nach Übergangsfristen nicht mehr geben. Gleichzeitig werden korrespondierende Normen, wie z.B. die DIN EN 50136 sowie die DIN EN 50131 überarbeitet - mit nicht unerheblichen Wechselwirkungen zur DIN EN 50518.
