Ganz im Sinne von Industrie 4.0 kann SIGMATEKs PC 521 umfangreiche Daten und Parameter aus Maschinenanlagen abfragen und lokal speichern, ohne dabei den laufenden Betrieb zu beeinflussen. Optional ermöglicht der kompakte Rechner als IoT-Gateway eine effiziente Verbindung zu MES-, Fog- und Cloud-Lösungen.

Ausgestattet mit einer 4-Kern CPU (4 x 2,0 GHz), greift der PC aktiv Daten in der Maschine oder Anlage ab und speichert alle Informationen lokal auf der SSD. Bis zu 8 GB DDR RAM sorgen für ausreichenden Puffer zur Abarbeitung großer Datenmengen.

Die Anbindung an eine Cloud-Plattform, wie beispielsweise Microsoft Azure, kann mit dem PC 521 realisiert werden.
