Siemens hat sein Simatic Top Connect Portfolio für die schnelle und sichere Verdrahtung von Simatic S7-1500 und Simatic ET 200MP um zahlreiche neue Module und Systemkomponenten erweitert. Neben Anschlussmodulen für acht Kanäle (Ein- oder Ausgänge) bietet Siemens erstmals auch kompakte Varianten für 32 Kanäle an, die für den Anschluss von Sensoren und Aktoren über einen oder drei Leiter verfügbar sind. Dabei wird zwischen dem Anschlussmodul und der S7-1500 Steuerung nur noch eine Leitung gesteckt anstatt vier für die einzelnen 8-Kanal- Module. Zudem benötigt das neue 32-Kanal-Anschlussmodul weniger Platz auf der Hutschiene als vier Module mit jeweils acht Ein- und Ausgängen.
