Siemens Business Services, Westeuropas Marktführer bei öffentlichen Auftraggebern, verbessert auch in Osteuropa weiter seine Position. Im Zuge der EU-Erweiterung hat die Siemens-Tochter zwei Aufträge der öffentlichen Hand erhalten. In Lettland installiert der IT-Dienstleister ein System zur Grenzkontrolle, in Ungarn ein digitales Archiv für notarielle Urkunden. Die Aufträge belaufen sich zusammen auf rund 28 Millionen Euro. Zusätzlichen Schub für den Ausbau seines Geschäftes in Osteuropa erwartet sich das Unternehmen dabei von der Ende Mai geschlossenen Partnerschaft mit Microsoft im Bereich E-Government.
