Siemens hat den Verkauf der Flender GmbH an The Carlyle Group für 2,025 Milliarden Euro (Unternehmenswert) erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Im Oktober 2020 hatte Siemens den geplanten Verkauf des Spezialisten für mechanische und elektrische Antriebssysteme an Carlyle bekannt gegeben. Nach Erhalt der notwendigen Freigaben durch die zuständigen Behörden konnte die Transaktion jetzt abgeschlossen werden. Durch den Verkauf von Flender hat die Siemens AG wie bereits angekündigt einen Abgangsgewinn in Höhe eines mittleren dreistelligen Millionenbetrags realisiert.
