Hacker haben rund 2 Millionen Zugangsdaten von Facebook-, Twitter-, Google- und anderen Konten geknackt. Für die Attacke wurde das sogenannte Pony Botnet genutzt, ein Netzwerk von tausenden gekaperten Rechnern. Die Besitzer der - meist privaten - Computer bekommen davon nichts mit. Ihre Zugangsdaten werden aber über Key-Logging-Software ausgelesen und an die Kriminellen weiterleitet.
