Schaltbau Group with considerable growth in firm orders and sales revenue in 2007

Munich, (PresseBox) - In the fourth quarter 2007, the Schaltbau Group, manufacturer in the segments of mobile and stationary transportation technology, again showed growth in firm orders of EUR 1.5 million compared to the same period of the previous year to achieve a total of EUR 62.7 million. According to preliminary figures, the group recorded a rise of 17% or EUR 39.1 million in firm orders for 2007 to reach a total of EUR 271.9 million, thereby exceeding its own expectations considerably. This was largely due to the positive order situation in the "Railway Signal Technology" segment and increased global demand for electro-mechanical components. The Bubenzer Group, an integral part of the group since 1 July 2007, was responsible for securing EUR 17.5 million in firm orders for the group. The group order book increased by 40% to total EUR 181.2 million.

The group recorded an 11% growth in sales revenue in the final quarter 2007 to achieve a figure of EUR 64.3 million, after totalling EUR 53.5 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. At the end of the year, the preliminary group sales revenue totalled EUR 231.9 million. This represents growth of 9% or EUR 19.4 million compared to the previous year's figure of EUR 212.5 million. The Bubenzer Group contributed EUR 14.6 million to this total.
