Dr. Jenkins ist eine Expertin auf dem Gebiet der DNA-Forschung. Als der mystische Riesenaffe Kong stirbt, gelingt es ihr, ihn neu zu erschaffen, indem sie seine DNA mit der ihres Enkels Jason Jenkins mischt. Um den neuen Kong zu schützen, bringt sie ihn auf die geheimnisvolle Insel Kong Island, die auf keiner Karte verzeichnet ist. Dr. Jenkins hat auch den "Cyber-Link" erfunden, mit dem es Jason möglich ist, mit Kong zu verschmelzen.
