ROHM kündigte unlängst die Entwicklung der aus Stromversorgungs-Modulen bestehenden Serie BZ6A an. In einem einzigen Gehäuse enthalten die ultrakompakten Module neben einer Spule und den erforderlichen Kondensatoren auch alle übrigen Bauteile, die für ein Netzteil benötigt werden. Mit Maßen von 2,3 mm × 2,9 mm × 1 mm sind die Module die kleinsten der Industrie* und bieten sich deshalb insbesondere für Anwendungen mit geringem Platzbedarf an.

In den letzten Jahren hat der Funktionsumfang von mobilen Geräten wie zum Beispiel Smartphones gravierend zugenommen. Dementsprechend wuchs die Zahl der Bauelemente und der benötigten Stromversorgungen.
