REWE Group expanding in Russia

Acquisition of 13 supermarkets in Moscow accelerates growth Expansion also extends beyond the Russian capital

The REWE Group continues its expansion in Russia by acquiring 13 supermarkets of the Russian grocery chain Njam Njam in Moscow. The stores are being acquired by the Austrian REWE Group subsidiary EUROBILLA, which oversees the REWE Group's supermarket business in Central and Eastern Europe. As a result of the takeover of the Njam Njam stores, the price of which is not being released, the REWE Group's supermarket network in Russia will expand to 59 locations by January.The newly acquired stores will be operated by the newly established EUROBILLA subsidiary in Moscow.
