REpower and EDF Energies Nouvelles' US subsidiary sign contract for 50 megawatts
25 REpower MM92 type wind turbines / Delivery scheduled for fall 2012 / Seventh project between REpower and enXco
In 2008 and 2011 REpower delivered wind turbines for enXco's Shiloh II and Shiloh III wind farms. Together, Shiloh II, III and IV wind farms will have a capacity of 355 MW.
The MM92 turbines for the Shiloh IV project have a rated power of 2.05 MW each and hub heights of 80 or 68.5 metres. Installation of the wind farm is scheduled for later in 2012. Afterwards, REpower will be responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farm for at least five years.
Andreas Nauen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REpower Systems SE, says: "Since 2007 we have realised several wind farm projects with enXco in the United States. This contract is another sign of confidence in our technology and execution capabilities."
