Auf der National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Las Vegas (05.- 10. April 03) hat Quantel jetzt die Zusammenarbeit mit Sony bei der Entwicklung diverser Schlüsseltechnologien bekannt gegeben. So unter-stützt Quantel das neue Sony Optical Disk-Format, e-VTR über MXF, sowie die Sony SAIT-Datenarchivierungs-Technologie.

Die von Quantel erstmals auf der NAB 2002 präsentierte e-VTR-Implemen-tierung bringt Video Tape Recorder erstmals ins Netz. Mit der Unter-stützung des MXF-Formats und den umfassenden Vernetzungsmöglichkeiten ergänzt diese Entwicklung die integrierten Systeme von Quantel für Nachrichten und Sport ideal.
