Sales revenues of EUR 21.3 million; EBITDA of EUR 3.4 million; EBIT of EUR 0.2 million

In the second quarter of 2009, PROCON MultiMedia AG (ISIN DE0005122006, Prime Standard), an internationally leading full-service provider of technical equipment for events, film and TV productions, generated sales revenues of EUR 21.3 million. This represents a decrease of 24 % compared to the second quarter of the previous year. With EUR 3.4 million, EBITDA decreased by 32 % compared to the previous year. EBIT amounted to EUR 0.2 million (previous year: EUR 2.1 million), while EBT was at EUR -0.6 million (previous year: EUR 1.4 million). As expected, the Procon Group - especially the Event Engineering segment - was affected by the weak economic environment. Sales revenues in the Film Lighting and Camera Equipment segment were more or less on the level of the previous year.

The Executive Board expects an improve of business in the second half of the year, as the company has been able to win lucrative projects - especially abroad - that will stimulate business. Amongst others, Procon acquired a USD 2.0 million contract relating to the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver as well as a contract worth approx. EUR 5.5 million in conjunction with the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.
