Karlsruhe, den 03.03.2003- Die EDM/PDM-Lösung PRO.FILE unterstützt ab sofort die 3D CAD Software SolidWorks 2003. PROCAD hat dazu die bereits seit langem erfolgreich eingesetzte Schnittstelle zu SolidWorks verbessert und an die Funktionalität von SolidWorks 2003 angepasst.

Durch die Integration mit SolidWorks 2003 ermöglicht PRO.FILE die gemeinsame Nutzung von 3D-Modellen, SolidWorks-Konfigurationen, Zeichnungen und anderen SolidWorks Objekte innerhalb der Entwicklungsteams in Konstruktionsabteilungen.

Sämtliche SolidWorks Daten und daraus abgeleitete Dokumente können durch PRO.FILE zusätzlich standortübergreifend für benachbarte Arbeitsgruppen und Abteilungen bereitgestellt werden. Der Einsatz von PRO.FILE fördert die Wiederverwendung von Teilen und Baugruppen, reduziert Fehler und beschleunigt so die gesamte Produktentwicklung.
