Oratorienkonzert an der Universität Witten/Herdecke Chor und Orchester der Universität präsentieren am 15. Dezember um 18.00 Uhr Kompositionen von Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Bernstein und Beethoven

Seit 15 Jahren bringen Chor und Orchester der Universität Witten/Herdecke unter der Leitung von Universitätsmusikdirektor Ingo Ernst Reihl große vokal-symphonische Musik im Ruhrgebiet zur Aufführung. Darunter waren bekannte Werke wie etwa die Oratorien Paulus, Elias oder Die Schöpfung sowie die Requien von Mozart, Brahms und Verdi. In diesem Winter werden drei Kompositionen aus verschiedenen Epochen zu hören sein, die viel zu selten in den gängigen Konzertprogrammen zu finden sind: Der 114. Psalm von Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, die Chichester Psalms von Leonard Bernstein und die Messe C-Dur von Ludwig van Beethoven.
