On the European internet platform tracx transport capacity trading totalled 465 GWh/h per day in January (January 2009: 13.3 GWh/h per day).

In the dayahead section of tracx, dayahead capacities with a total of 93.8 GWh/h per day (January 2009: 25.1 GWh/h per day) were offered in January. None of the dayahead trades offered on the platform were closed. In January, dayahead capacities at the network point Waidhaus (entry) were offered on tracx for the first time, as well.

In the longterm section of the platform a total of 465 GWh/h per day (January 2009: no longterm trades) was traded in January. Altogether, four of the longterm entries offered on tracx were successfully purchased. January's longterm capacities were placed on the platform with contract periods ranging from 28 days up to 15 years.

Since the platform's trading start in March 2005, the overall trading volume on tracx has reached a total of 58,039.1 GWh/h per day. This includes 226.1 GWh/h per day from dayahead trading.

Currently, 64 companies from all over Europe are authorised to trade capacity rights on In January, one company was admitted to trade on tracx.
