PRISMA publishes yearly capacity auctions
- Interested parties can view the auctions in advance of the auction start on 3 March 2014
- Three new TSOs from Spain, Portugal and France to participate in the yearly auctions for the first time
Since yesterday, interested parties have the opportunity to view the yearly cross-border auctions of all participating TSOs, which will take place on the PRISMA platform on 3 March 2014, on the PRISMA platform. Three new TSOs - Enagas the Spanish TSO, REN the Portuguese TSO and TIGF the French TSO - will participate in PRISMAs yearly auctions for the first time.
Currently, 906 yearly auctions have been published by European TSOs and will take place on the European platform in March in accordance with the future European market rules, the Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms (NC CAM).
Currently, 329 companies with 1,017 users are registered on PRISMA and can therefore participate in capacity trading on the platform.
PRISMA European Capacity Platform GmbH
PRISMA was founded by major European TSOs from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands with the aim to create a joint European capacity platform.
The new European Platform PRISMA, which was launched in April 2013, is the first platform to have implemented ENTSOG's Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms, the future market rules for allocating transport capacity.
There are currently 28 European TSOs from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain connected to the platform and market transport capacity via PRISMA. 22 of these TSOs are shareholders of PRISMA.
With its harmonised capacity products and auction mechanisms and its ability to serve a high number of TSO backend systems in accordance with ENTSOG's CAM Network Code, PRISMA primary is a major step towards an integrated European gas market.
