PEM Motion, a spin-off of the Chair of Production Engineering in E-Mobility Components of RWTH Aachen University, is now also available to the American partners on site with services in the field of consulting and engineering. In addition to various locations in Germany and the Mexican locations that have successfully established for more than two years, the subsidiary PEM Motion USA Inc. is now following suit.

PEM Motion offers consulting, design and engineering services in the field of future-orientated and sustainable topics with a focus on mobility. As an expert in this innovative field and with profound know-how in the field of electromobility, PEM Motion was commissioned to design, build and manage the California Mobility Center. This is currently being built in Sacramento, California, where the headquarters of PEM Motion USA is now located. In addition, several projects have already started in California, among others also a fair share with partners from the start-up scene in Silicon Valley.

"Sacramento has the potential to be one of the biggest innovation hubs of the new and sustainable mobility sector and to become an elementary driver of the desired traffic turnaround. Of course, we are very honored to be able to drive these efforts forward in a leading role. But California, as well as other parts of the USA, also offers many exciting and forward-looking challenges and tasks beyond the borders of Sacramentos that we now want to tackle," says Marc Dörfer, COO and site manager of the new PEM company.

In addition to training and qualification programs, which the company already offers successfully in Mexico, current projects are concerned with the industrialization of future mobility and sustainability as well as the planning and implementation of the California Mobility Center.

Christoph Lienemann, new Managing Director of the American subsidiary: "We are overjoyed to finally be able to support our partners and customers locally with our team in the realization of sustainable mobility. The fast-growing Sacramento region with its proximity to Silicon Valley, as a center for legislation on autonomous driving, emissions and mobility, and with numerous leading companies and renowned research institutions in the field of transport, offers all the prerequisites for our plans to quickly turn future dreams into reality worldwide.”
