Mit dem PCAN-MicroMod FD hat das deutsche Unternehmen PEAK-System Technik eine universelle Lösung für die Integration einer CAN-FD-Schnittstelle und I/O-Funktionalität in eigene Hardware veröffentlicht. Entwickler können das CPU-Modul in ihre Grundplatine einstecken und mit der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Windows-Software PCAN-MicroMod FD Configuration konfigurieren. Die Konfigurationen werden über den CAN-Bus auf das PCAN-MicroMod FD übertragen. Dabei können in einem CAN-Bus mehrere Module unabhängig voneinander konfiguriert werden. Neben dem Mapping der Signale auf CAN-Nachrichten, ermöglicht die Software auch vielfältige Operationen und Verarbeitungsfunktionen für die analogen und digitalen I/O-Signale.
