Erfolgreicher Lizenzvertrag zwischen Papst Licensing GmbH & Co. KG und der Pentax Corporation / Klagen wegen Patentverletzung bei US-Bundesgerichten anhängig

Die Papst Licensing GmbH & Co. KG und die japanische Pentax Corporation haben einen Lizenzvertrag über patentgeschützte Technologie für Digitalkameras abgeschlossen. Die jetzt lizenzierten Patente betreffen Schnittstellentechnologie z.B. zwischen Digitalkameras und Computern. 2006 hatte das Patentverwertungsunternehmen aus St. Georgen im Schwarzwald die zugrundeliegenden Schutzrechte von der Würzburger Firma LT Tasler GmbH erworben. Vor US-Bundesgerichten sind aktuell mehrere Prozesse gegen Firmen anhängig, die die Technologie ohne Lizenzvereinbarung nutzen. "Wir sehen dem Ausgang der laufenden Verfahren optimistisch entgegen", erklärte Rechtsanwalt Tobias Kessler, Syndikus der Papst Licensing. Das Unternehmen führt derzeit Prozesse gegen Casio, Fujifilm, Olympus, Samsung Techwin, Matsushita Electric und JVC.
