Ingenieure der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg (OVGU) präsentieren zurzeit auf der Automobil International AMI 2014 in Leipzig den weltweit leistungsstärksten Radnabenmotor. "Es handelt sich um den kompaktesten, leichtesten und gleichzeitig leistungsstärksten Radnabenmotor weltweit, der direkt in eine 15-Zoll-Felge eingebaut wird und damit für Klein- und Mittelklasse-PKW genauso geeignet ist wie für kleine und mittlere Nutzfahrzeuge im Transport-, Logistik-, Kommunal- oder Agrarbereich", so Prof. Dr.-Ing. Roland Kasper vom Institut für Mobile Systeme der Universität. Die Vorteile dieser neuen kompakten Antriebstechnik spiegeln sich in einer deutlich geringeren Komplexität, einem geringeren Fertigungsaufwand, einer sehr hohen Leistungsdichte und einem geringen Materialaufwand im Vergleich zu bisherigen Entwicklungen
