Dank integrierter Linse bringt es die neue IR-LED SFH4236 auf mehr als die dreifache Strahlstärke der Standardbauform (SFH4232). Das leistungsstarke Bauteil mit wenig Platzanspruch erweitert die infrarote Dragon-Familie. Die neue Linse bündelt die abgegebene Infrarotstrahlung auf einen Winkel von +/-20° und ermöglicht damit eine Strahlstärke von typisch 650 mW/sr bei 1 A Betriebsstrom. Damit eignet sich die infrarote Dragon besonders für Einsatzgebiete, bei denen gebündeltes Licht gefragt ist, aber wenig Raum zur Verfügung steht.

Bisher war die Lichtbündelung bei der Dragon nur mit einer externen Linse möglich.
