Public Sector, Financial Services, Communications, and Manufacturing Firms Adopt Oracle to Lower IT Costs while Driving Strategic, Enterprise-Wide Initiative

-Oracle Corporation reported continued customer adoption in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region across a wide range of industry sectors during the second quarter of fiscal year 2010, as customers selected Oracle's innovative products and services.

Customers Across Key Industries Adopt or Expand Implementations in Q2FY10

Oracle Exadata V2

-Dialog Semiconductor plc Germany creates energyefficient, highly integrated, mixedsignal integrated circuits optimised for personal mobile and automotive applications. "As one of the fastest growing global fabless semiconductor companies, we are focused on supporting our rapidly expanding customer base and driving innovation. -TIM w.e. Portugal is a mobile and interactive global marketing company that provides mobile content and services for entertainment, marketing and advertising on a global scale to mobile operators, media, advertisers and endconsumers. -Commerzbank AG Germany is the second largest credit institution in Germany, and one of Europe's major banks. Additionally, with the merging of Dresdner Bank into Commerzbank in May 2009, Commerzbank is now one of the leading banks for private and corporate customers in Germany. "Commerzbank has again selected Oracle Database as it is based on open standards and for its scalability. -Energias de Portugal, a major European operator in the energy sector, has purchased Oracle Database, and Oracle Database Options. -Xoserve UK is an integral part of the restructured gas distribution market in Britain. Jointly owned by the National Grid's gas transmission business and five major gas transportation companies - National Grid, Northern Gas Networks, Scotland Gas Networks, Southern Gas Networks and Wales & West Utilities, xoserve delivers transportation transactional services on behalf of these companies and provides one consistent service point. Xoserve has purchased several Oracle products including Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle Services Oriented Architecture Suite, Oracle WebCentre Suite and Oracle Identity Management. Oracle Fusion Middleware

-COLT UK, a leading provider of data, voice and managed services to business and government in Europe, has purchased Oracle Universal Content Management. "Oracle Universal Content Management provides a foundation for corporatewide content management which means we no longer have a dependence on technical staff to manage our content. Now our business users can spend less time addressing content requirements with IT staff and more time on their core job functions. This new platform provides a much more efficient model that can scale with the growth of the company," said Mark Leonard, Chief Information Officer, COLT.

-Dajar Poland, a producer of home appliances has completed a comprehensive business intelligence solution based on Oracle Business Intelligence. "The installation of the Oracle Business Intelligence solution was very successful and brought us many benefits, for example - the costs of making reports has gone down, and the time of generating all important management analytics is much shorter. -Deutsche Post DHL Germany, the world's leading postal and logistics services group, has selected Oracle as a global technology partner in its DHL Innovation Initiative. A central point of the initiative is the use of data from "AutoID systems" such as radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensors. The automatic acquisition of information, with the help of Oracle Fusion Middleware, will be integrated into DHL's logistics management and information systems. -Gemeente Enschede Netherlands, a government agency, has purchased Oracle's AutoVue. "We want to grow working digitally and now we have the right partner to do the right steps at the right time. We chose Oracle's AutoVue as a partner for a key part of this strategy. -Immergas Polska, a leader in the design and manufacture of gas boilers for domestic use, has gone live with a warehouse management system from Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One. -Raiffeisen Bank Poland has completed the implementation of a workflow project as a complementary module to the alreadyinstalled Oracle E-Business Suite.
