Gepulste Laser und VCSELs schnell messen

MKS Instruments präsentierte auf der SPIE Photonics West die Ophir Fast Photo Dioden. Die schnellen, vorgespannten PIN-Photodioden eignen sich ideal zur Prüfung und Messung gepulster Laser und VCSELs. Die Detektoren nutzen den photovoltaischen Effekt, um schnelle optische Pulse in elektrische Signale zu wandeln. Sie sind in einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Konfigurationen erhältlich und decken das Wellenlängenspektrum von 190 bis 1700 nm ab. Die Anstiegs- und Abfallzeiten bewegen sich in einem Bereich um 25 Pikosekunden. Je nach Modell wird die Vorspannung von einer integrierten Batterie und/oder einem externen Netzteil geliefert.
