Texparts® CS 21 12 Spindle Bearing - The allpurpose spindle for a more flexible and robust use

Since the introduction of the first spindle generation more than 80 years ago the Oerlikon Textile Components spindles proved their outstanding advantages. Modern spinning mills set challenging demands on the spindle systems in use which are now fulfilled by the new Texparts® CS 21 12 Complete Spindle.

Demands on Modern Spindles

Nowadays spinning mills need a guarantee for highest productivity. This will be achieved by maximum spindle speeds and fewer downtimes for maintenance. The spindles contribute to a good yarn quality by means of a low vibration level and bearing movability without hysteresis. The uniformity of all spindles within the spinning machines is a must.

A further point which needs to be assured are low operational costs. That requires spindles which are flexible in use and with a low consumption of lubricants, a low energy consumption, a long service life and a robust design for manual- and auto-doffed applications. Last but not least for the operator's convenience easy handling and low noise level should be provided. All these demands are implemented in the general CS Spindle concept of Texparts® Complete Spindles.

The New Concept Inside the Texparts® Spindle Family

The Texparts® CS 21 12 is the flexible and robust substitute of the Texparts® CS 1 12. It is distinguished by higher flexibility, reduced investment costs, higher damping capacity and a reinforced neck bearing. With the Texparts® CS 21 12 the user gets more flexibility within the yarn count range. Today the user can cover all applications from fine to coarse yarn counts with the well known Texparts® CS 1 and CS 1 S and now the new Texparts® CS 21 12. The Texparts® CS 21 12 all-purpose spindle reduces the investment costs as heavier spindles are more expensive than lighter ones. Moreover, because of the new design of the Texparts® CS 21 12 a higher damping capacity is given. The system allows the use of oils with different viscosities, therefore the damping capacity can easily be adjusted by the choice of the oil viscosity. Additionally, the new reinforced neck bearing with 7,8 mm bearing diameter makes the spindle robust against rough handling in manual doffing.

Rigid and Robust Spindle Design

With installing the Texparts® CS 21 12 the spinning mill sets the flexibility for the future according to the yarn count. As market demands are changing continuously Oerlikon Textile Component's flexible equipment enables an all-time competitiveness and the ability to respond flexible to market needs. In manual doffed applications spindles are often heavily loaded by rough handling. Therefore, a robust and rigid spindle design like the Texparts® CS 21 12 is the precondition to avoid damages on spindle bearings and upper parts. The stiffness of spindles with 7,8 mm neck bearing diameter is more than 40 % higher compared to spindles with a neck bearing diameter of only 6,8 mm.

Summary of the Texparts® CS 21 12 Characteristics

The Texparts® CS 21 12 is a single-elastic spindle bearing where the neck bearing is rigidly coupled with the bearing housing. Moreover, it has a flexible oil-damped footstep bearing with radial movability. An operational speed of up to 22.000 rpm is possible which enables a highly productive yarn production. The Texparts® CS 21 12 is a spindle bearing for medium and coarse yarn counts and therefore suitable for a broad application range. A tube length of up to 280 mm is possible. The reinforced neck bearing with a diameter of 7,8 mm leads to more operational reliability in manual doffed applications because it offers best robustness against rough handling. The optimized multi viscosity oil hydraulic damping system leads to a higher damping capacity and it can be adjusted by the choice of the used oil viscosity. The Texparts® CS 21 12 is an economically priced solution compared to the often over-dimensioned HF 3 and therefore, investment costs can be saved.
