John Deere strengthens its Sales and Service Network for German Forestry

Developing a world-class distribution system has been named as one of the critical success factors in the Deere & Co. enterprise strategy. These factors will foster the change required for the strategy's effective execution. In practice, the company is establishing channels of dealers that are professional, profitable, sustainable businesses, oriented to the customer, aligned with John Deere and achieving market preeminence.

John Deere Forestry has been developing its European distribution network over the past couple of years through a series of new Dealer appointments. As of 1.7.2011, John Deere Forestry is pleased to announce that Kotschenreuther Forst- und Landtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, has become an additional authorized sales and service partner for the forestry customers in parts of Northern Bavaria, Thüringen and Lower Sachsen, Germany, i.e. areas starting with postal codes 08, 90, 91, 92, 95 and 96.

Kotschenreuther, located in Neufang, D-96349 Steinwiesen, is an existing John Deere agricultular equipment distributor. The company is also known for its own Kotschenreuther branded forestry products which are modified to forestry use from standard John Deere tractors. Established in 1958 and with 34 employees, Kotschenreuther has established a strong market share in the tractor and forestry business in its area.

Customer support improved also through new service partners

At the same time, the long-term distribution partner of John Deere, Nuhn GmbH & Co. KG, has added two new service partners to its customer support network for the customers in Rheinland-Pfalz and Sachsen. Both of the companies, SE-Service GmbH, D-54634 Bitburg, and Kfz- Bau- und Landmaschinen Wolfgang Grahl, D-017688 Glashütte Luchau, have current experience and capability to serve forest machine customers.

In addition, the existing service network consisting of Amm GmbH & Co. KG, Böckmann Forsttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Forex GmbH & Co. KG, Forstmaschinenservice Oberschwaben GmbH, Haas Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG and Haas Forstmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG will continue to serve the German forestry customers.
