3 UK und Nokia erweitern 3G-Netzabdeckung auf Norden Großbritanniens

3 UK hat sein WCDMA-Netz in Nordengland, Schottland, Wales und Nordirland eingeführt und kann dadurch seine kommerziellen 3G-Dienste in ganz Großbritannien bereitstellen. Das von Nokia im Rahmen einer Vereinbarung aus dem Jahre 2001 gelieferte Netz ermöglicht der gesamten Nordhälfte von Großbritannien mobile Datendienste der nächsten Generation. Nachdem 3 UK zunächst Highspeed-Datendienste, wie zum Beispiel Videoanrufe, im Süden des Landes bereitstellte, sind diese jetzt landesweit in einem der weltweit wichtigsten Telekommunikationsmärkte verfügbar.

Nokia war von Anfang an Komplettanbieter und Partner für 3 UK und hat ein vollständiges 3G-System mit landesweitem Kernnetz sowie einem Funknetz für den nördlichen Teil des Netzes abd 3 SZ jzauxuuurtqbda.
