Kompetenzzentrum NanoBioNet veranstaltet Konferenz zu ethischen Fragen der Nanotechnologie im Lebensmittelsektor

Die Nanotechnologie revolutioniert viele Bereiche unseres Lebens: Handy und Computer, neue Medikamente und Therapien, leistungsfähige Akkus und Brennstoffzellen sind ohne Nanotechnologien undenkbar. Kann die Nanotechnologie aber auch einen Beitrag leisten, die Nahrungsmittelversorgung der Zukunft zu sichern, z. B. durch besseres Futter und besseren Dünger für höhere Erträge, verbesserte Verarbeitungs‐, Verpackungs‐ und Transportsysteme? Oder wird "Nano auf dem Teller" selbst zum Problem?

Um diese Fragen und deren ethische Implikationen zu klären, veranstaltet das saarländische Kompetenzzentrum cc‐NanoBioNet e. V. (NanoBioNet) die dritte Auflage der Nano‐Ethik‐ Konferenz "SIZE MATTERS".
