Der internationale Anlagenbauer M+W Group hat einen Großauftrag zum Bau einer Halbleiterfabrik für SIX Semicondutores (www.sixsemicondutores.com.br/en) in Brasilien erhalten. In der Fabrik mit einer Gesamtfläche von über 14.000 Quadratmetern sollen Mikroelektronik-Chips auf 200-Millimeter-Waferscheiben vorwiegend für industrielle und medizinische Anwendungen hergestellt werden. Standort ist Ribeirao Neves, eine Stadt in der Metropolregion Belo Horizonte in der brasilianischen Region Minas Gerais. Die neue Fabrik soll sowohl den Weltmarkt als auch den schnell wachsenden Markt in Brasilien beliefern und das Land zugleich für weitere Hightech-Investments attraktiv machen.
