Der Monster Employment Index bleibt mit 118 Punkten im Dezember auf dem Stand des Vormonats. Insgesamt stieg der Index im Verlauf des Jahres 2006 um neun Punkte, nach einem Aufschwung in der ersten Jahreshälfte hält er sich seit sechs Monaten auf einem konstant hohen Niveau. Den stärksten Zuwachs im Dezember wies der Gesundheits- und Sozialbereich auf, der gegenüber dem Vormonat um acht Punkte zulegen konnte. Das Online-Stellenangebot in diesem Sektor zeigte zuletzt zwar starke Schwankungen, nahm aber trotz der Diskussionen um die Gesundheitsreform in den letzten zwölf Monaten um 34 Punkte zu.
