Auf dem diesjährigen 80. Genfer Automobil Salon (2. bis 14. März) feiert der kompakte Crossover ASX Europapremiere. Der ASX ist die europäische Variante des ab Februar in Japan unter der Bezeichnung "RVR" angebotenen, geräumigen Fünfsitzers. Die Einführung auf dem europäischen Markt ist für den Frühsommer geplant.

Unter anderem kommt im ASX ein vollkommen neu entwickelter 1.8 Liter Turbo-Diesel Direkteinspritzer Motor zum Einsatz. Dieses besonders sparsame Euro 5-Aggregat wurde gemeinsam von Mitsubishi Motors und Mitsubishi Heavy Industries entwickelt und wird erstmals im ASX angeboten.
