Der CAM502 steuert die aus einfachen Leiterplatten bestehenden induktiven Resonator-Sensoren und misst die lineare oder Winkelposition eines kontaktlosen Positionsgebers. Dabei kann der Controller bis zu 5000 unabhängige Positionswerte pro Sekunde liefern. Das bedeutet die 5-fache Geschwindigkeit im Vergleich zu der aktuellen Generation. Damit bietet der CAM502 eine attraktive Lösung für Motorsteuerungen oder andere Anwendungen, die eine robuste, reaktionsschnelle und genaue Positionsrückmeldung erfordern.

Die Induktive Resonator-Positionserfassung ist eine berührungslose Technologie in der Weg- und Winkel-Sensorik. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Weiterentwicklung des industrieüblichen linearen bzw. rotierenden variablen Differentialtransformators (LVDT/RVDT). Der Hauptunterschied besteht darin, dass komplexe Spulenwicklungen durch eine Sensorplatine ersetzt
