Neuer Vorsitzender des Vorstands der METRO AG wird Dr. Eckhard Cordes (56). Er wurde in der Sitzung des Aufsichtsrats der METRO AG am 26. September 2007 in Düsseldorf zum Mitglied des Vorstands bestellt und zugleich zum Vorsitzenden des Vorstands ernannt. Dr. Cordes wird sein Amt am 1. November 2007 antreten. Dr. Hans-Joachim Körber (61) beendete seine Vorstandstätigkeit und legte sein Amt als Vorsitzender des Vorstands zum Ablauf des 31. Oktober 2007 nieder.
