Distribution and Service Units Merge with Manufacturer for Sustainable Development of the Company

IN-LOG and Merten Maschinenbau

(PresseBox) (Wien, ) IN-LOG Mailroom Technologies GmbH, Vienna, an expert provider for post press operation will merge with Merten Maschinenbau und Vertriebs GmbH. The company, co-located in the same facility, already owns 51 percent of the shares of IN-LOG and is responsible for manufacturing the post press machinery and systems. By means of this merger, Peter Merten of Merten Maschinenbau und Vertriebs GmbH, and IN-LOG's Erich Wirthwein are sustainably developing their enterprises, while maintaining innovations as their primary force.

Great emphasis is being placed on continuity in customer relations. Consequently, Erich Wirthwein, as member of the management team, will continue to fully concentrate on Marketing and Sales. He affirmed that, "by means of this merger we are creating a solid basis to benefit our clients in over 35 countries". Contact persons remain the same and will continue to handle orders by project management and in close cooperation with the customer.

Safely into the future

Owner-managed company Merten Maschinenbau, looking back on 90 years of company history, employs a staff of more than 100 people today at their facility in Vienna. Here, the production of components and solutions is carried out with a high level (up to 80 percent) of vertical manufacturing for divers industries, such as medical and automotive technologies as well as the printing industry. Peter Merten considers this variety of industrial sectors to be one of the crucial strengths of the company: "Our orientation to different industries and contract production for highly renowned companies allows a better balancing of economic fluctuations in our core business".

Optimism, Investments and Innovations as Key Factors to Secure a Competitive Edge

Peter Merten looks optimistically into the future when explaining the new concept: "Eliminating parallel structures, consolidating sales activities, and sharing resources are some of the many significant efficiencies this merger will allow, leading to greater advantages for our customers". One expression of the company's confidence in the positive effect of this transaction on business development is its decision to build an additional facility at a new location, in Burgenland. Erich Wirthwein takes this opportunity to announce new, innovative solutions for post press concerns that are going to help costumers react to the increased demands of the web offset market.

"This is going to put Merten Maschinenbau in the pole position again", Erich Wirthwein stated. Recently, the company found yet another occasion for proving its skill in innovation at Koninklijke Drukkerij Em. de Jong B. V. Group in the Netherlands, where it has been awarded a contract for the post press line of the 96-pages rotary machine.
